Hello!

I've received some questions about what type of iPads are acceptable to bring to Centra College and have during classes. Below is a list of acceptable iPads that will run the latest iOS 12 software. I've also included information on how to tell what type of iPad you have via the link to Apple's support page, what type of iPad to get if you don't have one already, and what are not acceptable alternatives to Apple iPads.

List of Pad generations that will run iOS 12 and will work for Centra College classes, be sure your iPad has enough space for textbooks and apps:

  • 12.9-inch iPad Pro 3rd generation
  • 12.9-inch iPad Pro 2nd generation

Students are expected to have an Apple iPad charged and ready every day for class.
